So I'm drivin on the highway at 60mph and I downshift to 4th to feel the car pull.
I don't just pop the clutch into 4th, i match the rev, release the clutch smoothly, and let the car decelerate for a sec before i mash on the gas. The car pulls and the revs rise up fast and steady for about 300rpms then they just start to soar. No doubt about it the clutch started to slip.
Weird part is it only does it in 4th gear. 5th gear it is ok, 3rd gear it is ok, 2nd gear it is ok, 1st gear it's my tires i'm worried about.
Any ideas?? any input would be appreciated.
I've done many different situational tests at different times to make sure the clutch is cool and whatnot, but in 4th gear the clutch just cant hold it.
