just had a question on what would be causing my clutch to shudder when I let out the clutch to start going from a stop. It only seems to happen in the mornings every once in a while. the rpms dont seem to change, but theres a "dat-dat-dat-dat..." noise thats generated, and I think I can feel it in the clutch petal. It goes away after 1-2 accel.'s, but id like to know what it is

anyone know what this could be?

thanks

Old post but why create a new thread. I am having this same problem after a clutch install. Flywheel resurfaced to .611 step height. New south bend clutch kit with kevlar sprung disc. WHen I take off slowly in first gear, and especially in reverse, the engine shudders a lot.

I am having the EXACT SAME problem. I think its my clutch slipping. Are there ANY ideas as to what this might be? The problem started about a week ago. The first two launches of the day are affected and then it magically disappears. Somebody please chime in.

Yes this clutch chatter and probably worn surface of the flywheel. You feel it only in the morning cause weather is colder and condensation is made in the clutch area, wich make the clutch system to slip more easily due to the humidity between the surfaces.
