I haven't had use of my GVR-4 for a year since the nut that I jb welded on the rear of the clevis pin at the pedal for the clutch master cylinder decided to fall off (luckily in my driveway). I had to do this because the clutch master cylinder rod never quite reached the pedal.

I decided to try and do things "right" by rebuilding the clutch pedal with the JNZ Tuning kit.

I got things back together and the clutch pedal was extremely stiff. I forced it with my leg and now it feels like there is a bunch of play. It feels like I am just bending the new clutch pedal or the master rod is not going fully in. The clutch pedal now won't come back up completely either on it's own.

The pedal has loosened up, but now I have to lift the pedal up by hand. It does not return on it's own.

Questions:

1) Why is it behaving this way?

2) Have I possibly bent my new clutch pedal?

3) How do I remove all of my weld work at the new brass bushing to start over if this is the case.

I just don't get it.

Thanks

So I took a closer look and the threaded rod that goes to the nut broke free from the nut that I welded it to. I am not a great welder, but if those 2 points are supposed to be welded together by default, then even a horrible weld would have not broken under normal circumstances.

Aren't those points supposed to be welded together?

My original questions still stand plus this new one.

What a nightmare!
