clutch pedal issues/ps issues

the other day i was leaving my girlfriends house and i push in the clutch and i hear a snap noise and the pedal falls to the floor. i tried to drive home but it was a little hard to do. the pedal still works and the clutch still engages and whatnot however theres no play in the pedal anymore, it's fairly easy to put in and it only travels about 2 inches or so till it hits the floor. theres still pressure cause the clutch comes back up but im stumped on what it could be, i've tried to readjust the pedal but makes no difference. I did replace the master cylinder at the beginning of summer maybe 3 months ago also.

next is my power steering. one day it just started getting really notchy and now when i turn the wheel while im idling or at a slow roll you can hear something that sounds like a grinding noise but it's not actually grinding. the power steering fluid is full but it didn't make a difference.

As for the clutch pedal. What master cylinder did you replace it with? If its anything besides oem mitsubishi it prob needs to be replaced. Then adjust your clutch pedal and bleed the lines

i think it was an oem unit but i got it from advance auto so im not sure, otherwise i think it was raybestos or something like that,

parts stores not equal to oem... they have been shown to be far inferior.

I use advance auto parts before and havnet had a problem with my stuff, just make sure you bleed them, i know lots of people who dont use oem parts on cars and the cars hold up fine over many of thousands of miles,but back to the question, change the slave too.

i get paid today so ill be ordering an oem master and slave later tonight, maybe even a full ss line, i only have ss line from the slave to the connecting part under the fuse box.
