there is no way i can get that stupid cotter pin off. i've tried everything i can imagine. and that bi*** still wont come off....

any other ways to get this thing off?

thanks, i got it off like that. now my problem is that i can't seem to get it adjusted back to the way it was. it wants to grind going into the gears, and i've almost backed it all the way out

That is probably because you have not bled the system after the install yet.

i bled it as much as i could, nothing but fluid is coming out of the bleeder valve. i done it with a pump, and the old fashion way. im going to see if i can get anything out of it tomorrow

Make sure you read through the later part of this article when it described how and why it's important to use the hose method when bleeding the clutch, it made a difference in my case. Are you sure the master cylinder is the only problem, was it leaking or was it just a guess in troubleshooting a clutch problem?

i replaced the slave and master cylinder both. its wierd how i put fluid back into the master cylinder, and it never went down past the min line? i'm going out there to bleed it again.

The reason why I asked if the cylinders were phisically leaking or if you decided to change both because you were having disengagement problem is that 1G clutch pedals are known to wear out creating excessive play causing disengagement problems. Just something else for you to look at.

ok i rebled it, and got ALL of the air out. i adjusted the master cylinder rod as much as i could, it still grinds a little going into the gears

and another funny thing is. anytime i press in the clutch, even in neutral, it makes this whining sound, and it does it worse when i put it into gear (after i have to force it sometimes)

i dont know what the deal is with it

I doubt this is it but I had a whiny sound come from mine and the car started to get hard to put into gear. I thought it was a belt making the noise at first but it turned out to be my throw out bearing seized and was grinding through my pressure plate. It ground so far that I could no long disengage the clutch.
