Clutch makes engine dies.

theres a talon tsi for sale i want to buy it and fix it up. but there is one problem. he says that "For some reason when you push the clutch in it kills the engine." what can the problem be? im a noob to dsm's. he recently rebuilt the engine with 30 miles on it. he put "new rod bearings, main bearings, pistons, rings, crank, bored block .020, hot tanked, painted block, etc..." this was quoted from his post btw. he has "Upgraded Turbo (port and polished from 03 EVO III) Aftermarket BOV" and an intake. i was just wondering what's wrong with the car?

dose it run fine once the car is started up or dose it die when you let out on the clutch

Vacuum lines and IAC these are just a few things I would check out first.

i would never buy a car that has been (rebuilt) if i did not know the job was the correct way with the correct parts. 30miles? sounds like a load.

what year is it? if its a 2g it very well could be crankwalk.
