I'm thinking of purchasing a clutch and flywheel kit because my clutch needs replaced badly, and I just thought, hey since I'm gonna be in there anyway, I might as well do a lighter flywheel. I was just wondering, tho, how difficult would it be to replace the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel? Will I have to drop the tranny? What about replacing just the clutch? I'm an engine guy, so I'm not very sharp on drivetrain knowledge. hehe :D

Thanks for any help

If you just asked if you have to pull the tranny to do a clutch, then you might not want to tackle this job by yourself.

You are going to want to replace the disc and plate and TO bearing at the least and machine the flywheel if you are not replacing it. Since it will already be torn apart, throwing a rear main seal in isn't a horrible idea. Words of experience right there LOL

yeah better get a dsm friend too help you. You do have too pull the trans. And if your going to buy a combo go to extreme psi for there dsm special ACT clutch and flywheel special and free shipping.
