ok so 2 weeks ago my tob went into my pp and trashed everything. i bought a used flywheel from a guy and he said he had a decent clutch and pp decided to be cheap so i bought all of it for a decent price. it was a sprung 6 puck and dont know what pp it was but when i bolted it down the fins on the pp went flat. dont know what is with that. so i grabbed my clutch and pp off my fwd talon put it all together but i cant get it to go into gear it just grinds. i have about 3 inches of play in my pedal before my linkage moves pretty sure this isnt good. i cant get anything i can start the car with it in gear but when i let off the clutch it dont move. any ideas on any of this im lost. ive been working on this car for the last 3 days. i even drove 3 hours away to get a oem tob.

Bleed the clutch again just to make sure you have no air. Did you try to adjust the clutch master rod? Hopefully you don't have a bad clutch.

the rod on the pedal is all the way out. i have to pull the pedal the last 2 or 3 inches back so it is all the way out. wont do it on its own. ive bleed the clutch enough to use half of a big bottle of fluid. im been searching the last 4 hours to find this issue but none of them post if they get it fixed except one saying he shimmed his pivot ball and replaced his fork. but i dont think that has anything to do with my pedal not having anything til its 3 inches down.

no the flywheel was in great shape and the pp only have 500 miles on it. i would of waited to put it together if i thought it needed resurfaced. and yes i put the tob in when i did the clutch. my old tob came out in 7 pieces. didnt look so healthy.

Do you know if the flywheel been resurfaced? When clutch is press, check the fork arm if it is pushing against the housing. Where does the fork arm sit currently? In the center, little on the left side, little on the right side of the housing?

the flywheel has not been resurfaced. and for the clutch fork i think it is resting against the pp or just a little back from it. could the spring thing on the fork have a issue on this. i noticed last night that it was bent out a little i didnt think anything of it so i put it back in instead of putting my spare in that came with this car.

ok so today i put a new master cylinder in since thats what the performance shop told me was wrong with it. wrong on that one. so while i was under there i noticed that i have a very odd set up. my fwd and the 6 at the junkyard i went to have the same but my awd has this huge spring attached to the clutch pedal assembly. any idea if this is a stock unit or not? also when i press the pedal down the spring bounces to the side and isnt right. it did not do this prior to the tob going into the pp. could this be my whole issue and if so where can i find a new assembly like this?

well i finally figured out what was wrong. my clutch pedal assembly was broken. well not really broken the part that connects to the master cylinder and bolts to the clutch pedal was twisted. easy fix to this. weld it to the shaft. never have to worry about it again just make sure you put new bushings in it before you do so.
