I am installing an ACT 2600# clutch/street disc and Fidanza flywheel on my 1995 GSX Eclipse.

Proper precautions and correct mounting have been observed/executed.

The Trans. remounting is where I'm stuck...

-There are two dowel pins that locate the tranny/engine union. At the dowel location closest to the passenger, I end up with about a 1/8" gap between mating surfaces, while at the 5 bolt locations, mating appears perfect when properly torqued

I find it unlikely that this represents a manufactering or design defect, since everything else fits so well together

By the way, I put this here because I am relatively new to DSM's. This seems like a foremost DSM site, so I hope someone here is willing to help me out as I am STUCK WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION until I resolve this anomaly

If anyone here tonight knows anything about whats going on between my engine and tranny, PLEASE post up. I really need some help solving this so I can get back out and finish up my install.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

How 'bout this... Has anyone who's installed a clutch / tranny ever seen this problem I've explained, and decided to just let it go and continue with installation.

what was the outcome?
