I have a 92 GSX thats pretty much stock other than a MAF translator, SAFC, FMIC, and a 16G
I don't plan on doing much more to the car, shooting to be making around 300 at the wheels
I was leaning towards an Exedy stage 1 organic, is that a good choice for my application?

John, Look at competition clutches stage 2 clutch. Perfect clutch for your set up. I use it and they make some great clutches there. I use that clutch with there steel flywheel.

I've had a bad experience with ACT... so i switched to Exedy. Went with the "stage 2", which is a puck style disc and I *think* ~2100 pressure plate. The clutch is grabby, and very easy to drive. It feels better to me than the ACT one did.

the act 2100 clutch kit with the street disk and the exedy stage 1 organic kit are essentially the same for holding power

that being said people have had issues with the act street disk but ive never heard any bad rep for the exedy stage 1

i know the act 2100 kit will hold 322ilbs ( exedy is very close to that as well ) of torque and if your hsp goals are close to 300 with an all wheel drive,, your gonna be pushing the limits of that clutch

if you were just FWD then id say go for it -- just make sure you know exactly your limits because with the AWD thats cutting it close

personally id get the act 2100 pp and then look into a sprung 6 puck -- act 6 puck sprung? probably not, but maybe a clutch masters just because act s springs break once in a while

good luck

yes, there is currently an ACT 2600 in the car now, burnt out throw out bearing, and it slips a lot, time for a clutch adjustment and a new clutch, Im not sure how close to 300 horse I will be getting though
