Clutch and flywheel

I bought a clutch for my 99 gsx and it has and after market light weight flywheel and so the clutch doesn't work for it so how do I know what clutch to order for it with the after market stepped flywheel?

I believe the flywheel is a centerforce II and I ordered a stage 3 completion clutch from there website

Any clutch meant for your gsx should work. The stock flywheel is stepped and so are aftermarket.

From the pictures the original one doesnt look like its stepped and so when I put the clutch in there with the alignment tool and mount the pressure plate and cover over and tighten it the clutch disc is still loose inside and will fall when the alignment tool is pulled out

Okay so I got that figured out and they had sent me the wrong clutch and so I got it all put back together did the 500 easy miles on the clutch and had done a few pulls in it and did another one and as soon as I went to shift from 2nd to 3 it shut off on my and now will not start. So I got it back to NY place cause my belts have been squeaking and so I was going to replace then the next day so I thought it was maybe the time belt but the timing belt is only missing like a 1/4 inch piece that's like a foot long on the belt. So what could be wrong?

that piece likely got lodged in the sprockets and you skipped time. line up the marks and find out

The piece was still attached to the belt itself and when you turned it over it would just spin around all the sprockets could it still be possible?

on a 2g you also have a crank sensor. and stray stuff could take that sensor out and you're dead in the water

Okay so line up the marks if there not inline and if they are inline how would I tell if its the crank sensor?
