To put it like a child, anyways.

Is there a good, cheap, bolt-on replacement for the stock BOV that makes a little more noise? I'm running a 14b and just want a little more hiss out of it.

Everything is stock, just looking for one for sound.

What's the word on the ebay BOVs? Do they sound alright and hold up well? I don't usually ebay my parts after having an ebay stage 2 clutch chew up the splines of a Honda tranny I had.

Tips would be nice. I can't find info on a half decent, cheap, bolt-on BOV anywhere.

The turbo xs rofl is a joke, most of them leak. I've had the best luck with modded 1g valve's, and tial. Oh i forgot, you want aftermarket sound. Don't know what to tell you there, my 1g bov sounds awesome at 30 psi.
By the way you'll need a translator, or speed density setup to run an open bov, but you may be ok with stalling in between shifts, and idle surge, for a cool sound.
 
do the free upgrades on vfaq.com (it will make the BOV louder) or buy a new intake, SMIC pipeing would make your car more relyable, I currently have a 1g BOV and its plenty loud for me, it tuns peoples heads as I drive by :) I would go for an injen intake and punnishment raceing has IC piping for the side mount
 
not to change the subject but, given the fact that we're all driving foreign car(at least cars made mostly with or by mitsu parts) makes them rice. sure u can say a car with a ten foot wing and a crazy load weed eater muffler is rice. but when it comes down to it, rice burners (in my opinion at least) stand for foreign made cars. i say inbrace the rice and enjoy it. not to many people have 4 cyl car running as fast as ours do. the reason i started my build was to shut up all these muscle car guys that think u have to have a V8 to go fast. everyone laughs when i tell them what im building, but ill be laughing at the finish line waiting on them to get there.

I don't know about you, but my 1990 talon says MADE IN USA on the door jamb sticker.

Had an eBay Type S torn apart at one time....the piston had some shitty chrome plating that was peeling off- I'm sure that would do well getting sucked into the engine and / or turbo. Also, the diaphragm was the thinnest rubber I've ever seen....almost like a bicycle tube.

I actually thought about a Turbo XS BOV but wasn't sure what the word was on those.
If you feel as though a valve which mounts to the base with three set screws is a worthwhile upgrade, by all means go for it....the name says it all- Real F*ckin' Leaky.

No more boost. I don't want to. Just the way I am. It's stock and I don't plan on any heavy mods until I get back from Canada.

my recirc'd 1g bov doesn't sound any different at 25psi than a stock one.

My car has almost no bov sound whatsoever.

If you want a loud recirculated bov that is reliable and relatively cheap. get a NGR Type-S
They are one of the companies that have actually improved upon the old Greddy Type-S and are making a name for themselves for it.
Mine on my talon was awesome and their customer service is absolutely phenomenal.

It's pretty cheap too.

If you want an awesome sounding bov though, I think my favorite is the Tial Q.. which I have coming in the mail to me right now - but you'll either need to switch to a blow-thru setup or have something like DSMLink to fix the issue caused by running a vented bov with a stock MAF. DSMLink has anew feature called Idle Air Clamp that allows you to bypass the age-old problem which is why i finally upgraded to a tial q
 
for a really cheap mod you can pull off the stock intake tube and cut the tube out that is stuck in the middle of the tube which directs the bypassed air toward the turbo inlet, and throw a cone on the end if the maf. This will make spool and bypass sound a little louder and will reduce the restriction of air between the filter and the turbo.
 
yeah, as soon as i slapped that K&N kit on, my bov loudness was increased by a considerable amount, and its a leaky ass 2g bov.
