Edmonton,
Ok guys heres the question. I went to install a Dejon hardpipe intake and I knew it would eliminate the boost solenoid which I dont use as I have a manual boost controller. The line from the valve cover I have a catch can installed already so that is taken care and the other one I thought went to the Charcoal Canister. From what I can tell from the posts these Canisters really aren't that useful so I went to remove mine and encountered a few more vacuum lines then predicted. I know the one from the fuel tank can just be lengthened and fed under the car to vent, but the other one in the picture below goes to some sort of solenoid that then connects to the EGR valve? Now I haven't blocked this off as I dont see the need but if I remove the charcoal canister do I have to block off the EGR valve? Also what about all these other vac lines? I felt behind my intake and there are 3 sets of small ports. All of them are being used except one which is completely open (no vac line or block set on it) is that supposed to be like that? Please forgive the bad pictures its hard to get a good picture at that angle.

My question to you is what do I do with all these vac lines once I remove the charcoal canister? Do I have to block off the EGR valve to remove them or what? It seems like one of the vac lines doesn't have anything to do with the EGR valve and goes somewhere else. I know my hardpipe doesn't use any of these lines so I am at a stand still until i decide what to do with all these vac lines. Thanks guys

Block them off remove the egr, block it off look at vendors for a plate, i removed all emissions on my car. No probs here.

As stated above remove the charcoal canister, leave to vent open and put a hose over it to vent under the car...

Now any vacuum lines coming from the throttle body can be capped off and everything those hoses go to should get capped off...Let me see if I can dig up any pics...

Found a pic it isnt the greatest though...But you can see on the throttle body all the vacuum line ports are blocked off....Whats not seen is the egr blockoff plate and removed charcoal canister...

Ok so let me get this straight. I block off the EGR Valve, and remove all those lines that go from that valve and block off all the opening on the back of the intake? Do these vac lines not serve a purpose or what?

That was my old car and don't worry only had the MBC Tee'd into the BOV line for about 2 days til I got a fitting welded to my J pipe :thumb:

Wasn't in boost the entire time...

So I'm in Canada so no emissions restrictions in my area. So I'm good to go? This is the best route?
