I am putting my car back together after I rewired my fuel pump and I can't remember where one of the hoses went to from the charcoal canister. I think one goes to the intake, I don't know were the other one goes. BTW I have a MAFT set up. What do you do with hose that goes to the intake? Thanks in adavnce.

Here is a link to the Taboo Speed Shop vacuum diagram. This should help you out.
Taboo Speed Shop
It also has a diagram if you want to completly get rid of your emissions equipment.

I would like to keep it stock as much as I can so I need to keep the emissions on I live in MA and they really break your ba**s. And I have seen the taboo diagram. It does not help me for what I need. The hose I need help on (the one closest to the firewall) is bigger than a standard vacuum line. Thanks.

One should go to the purge solenoid, one goes back to the tank, I can tell you that much.

If you're asking about the large diameter hoses, one goes to the side of the intake, and one points down to vent to atmosphere.

Thanks, is that the same for a 2G?

Ok if that is true why is there a factory hose clamp on the end of the hose.

Because the 95 is located under the battery and has a hose clamp at the end of the hose and the 98 is located under the driver side headlight and has a tube that points down to vent to atmosphere. One hose goes to the intake and the outlet of the second hose is dependent on where the charcoal canister is located.

For us with 98s, they moved the charcoal canister which was under the battery on previous years and put in under the driver side headlight. When they did this they replaced the hose clamp at the end with a tube that pointed down to vent to atmosphere.

95 - Charcoal canister under the battery and hose clamp at the end
98 - Charcoal canister under the driver side headlight and a tube pointing down

I recently purchased a 1996 talon tsi. I keep getting a check engine light for fault code
PO443. If I reset the ECU, the light comes back on not long after. I took the battery out of the car to gain access to the charcoal canister. At the top of the canister, there are two nipples for vacuum lines. The nipple closest to the firewall has a line hooked up to it while the other nipple (the one closest to the front of the car) does no have a vacuum line connected to it. Could this be the problem and if so, where is this line supposed to go? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have to get the car inspected and need help ASAP. Thanks, in advance.
