General Motors charcoal canister? stock?

I just pulled out my evap system an all the components appear to be original parts as they were perfectly in their places. One thing struck me as odd however; the GM logo on the top of the canister. Is this the case with all 1g's or has mine been replaced before? If it has been replaced why does a GM part fit and if not are there any other strangs things like this on our cars?

Mine is GM too. I believe it is the original. But I tried looking up that GM part number on a GM parts site, and it doesn't seem to exist.

My 1g also had a gm logo on the charcoal canister

Both of my 2g's and my firends 2g had a gm charcoal canister. All of the cars emission system were never touched so it is indeed a factory part.

Haha, I didn't even bother looking at mine when i ripped it out, which reminds me. I need to run a line under the car for that to vent. I keep forgetting.
