So, I'm about to install my new intake and since my car didn't have that charcoal canister hose connected to the stock intake when I got it I wanted to know where on the charcoal canister the intake hose should be connected.

At first I was gonna connect it on the nipple circled in the pic below but after reading this thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184970&highlight=charcoal
it says that that nipple is supposed to be left open/not connected because that is primarily the vent for our gas tanks. So where on the charcoal canister does the intake line connect to? Or should I just remove this damn thing and block off my EGR since we don't have emmissions here in FL?

If you dont have emissions in fl then i would recommend getting rid of all those vac lines on your throttle body and pretty much get rid of all the emissions stuff and cap everything off.

Just point the hose down towards the ground. It just vents the gases out to the atmosphere instead of into the intake. No big deal.

Just vent it, its no big deal. Even if you have emissions, I'm in cali and past without that being hooked up. Since its under the battery (at least on 95s) and I have a CF hood where the emissions diagram is no longer there, they don't even realize its there and not hooked up.

If your intake pipe has a nipple provision for it though, just cap it, or just get a hose and connect the charcoal canister vent.

I think this is what you're looking for. It's the circular thing (even though you only see half the circle) under the bottom right hand corner of the battery bracket.

But as people said, if you don't need it, just get rid of it. I hope this helps! :thumb:

The circular thing is the purge control valve on the EVAP system. The line that goes from there to the intake pipe is the line that you need to vent.

Thanks man, a picture is worth a thousand words. I'll just connect it to that in the mean time until I remove the entire thing when I have time. So just to make sure, this hose is the hose that comes from the intake right?
