Charcoal canister...

I need a new charcoal canister as one of the nipples on it broke off. I was wondering if it matters whether it is off of a turbo, non turbo, 2.0 liter or 1.8 liter. I will be heading off to the junk yard in the morning and I was wondering what I can pick up that will work. Thanks.

why not just do an emissions delete? it will clean up your engine bay, get rid of quite a few vacuum lines, and get your engine running better.

As far as I can remember, the 1g 2.0 turbo and non-turbo charcoal canisters are the same. I know the turbo has more vacuum lines but I think at the canister it is still the same.

The 1.8 L came from the factory with the EGR blocked off so if it even has a charcoal canister, it will probably be different.

I just pulled mine and through it on the ground a couple nights ago. Pretty sure all connections are in tact. Personally I would delete it if I were you but if your dead set on one you can have mine.
