change windshield??

i need to find out how to take out and put in a windwhield for a 90 tsi...any suggestions would be helpful.

Why are you taking it out? i recently got pinged with a rock and cracked mine in half, but insurance came and replaced it for free but it's not too terribly complicated....you'll have to take the windshield wipers off....(probably have to pop out a little tab and take out the bolt) then take off the plastic molding that's underneath that (also requires popping out little plastic pins they use to keep it in place)...then that should expose the bottom part of the windshield...from there you have to basically cut out the seal and cut the windshield out from the bonding stuff they use to keep it in place. I know what i just said wasn't an exact science, but it's from watching the insurance place replace my 2g, but i figure it can't be that much different

You kinda actually need to know what you are doing. It's worth it to pay someone to do this, trust me. You don't want the seal breaking, it leaking, or coming loose. The pros do a good job and you can find someone cheap. They'll even come to your car wherever it is. Have it replaced in the parking lot at work!

In Florida, Insurance covers all windshield replacements with no deductible.Look into that in your area.

I wish a rock would hit mine,I have residue from letters that were on there from the previous owner and no matter what I do it will not come off...may end up helping a rock get there,haha.

just hit it with a bat and tell insurance that it was vandalized (just joking that would be insurance fraud)
