I am looking to clean and dress up my engine bay drastically. I know I have to get the exhaust manifold ceramic coated because of the extreme temps. What about the compressor housing? And also, would it be safe to powder coat things like a 1G CAS or would the heat mess it up? Things that I can't coat I will probably try to polish and I know that takes forever so I am trying to find the best and hopefully easiest way to get a clean looking DSM engine bay.

You could powdercoat the compressor housing as it doesn't see the extreme heat. You can also powdercoat the CAS, either just the cover, or the whole thing if you feel like taking it apart. I currently have my cover just coated, but will be coating the whole thing possibly in the future. Keep in mind this is only for the green top CAS', since the black tops have plastic covers.

Thanks for the info. I have the green top 1G CAS so I will probably coat it. I got a quote from a vendor for ceramic coating the o2 housing, exhaust manifold, and compressor housing. With shipping and all I am looking at about $300. I am considering getting the JMF exhaust manifold heat shield and just hiding the ugly thing. Or I could always go with one of these except for the poor quality (probably) and the taking away from my stock, OEM look I am trying to achieve.

Powdercoat parts that don't see high temps, ceramic coat the ones that do. Your other option is to get the JMFab heat shield for the exhaust manifold and use VHT 2000 Flameproof other exhaust parts.
