CEL question

Ok so this morining i go outside to start the car and its 8 degrees outside. i let the car warm up for like 10min and get in. BAM!! CEL. Havent done anything to the car lately and ive had it for 3months and never had any huge issues with it. Is there a way the cold weather would have caused the car to throw a code? Im stuck at work until tomorrow morning so i havent had a chance to get the code read yet. Anybody had this problem before?

I understand that. The question im asking is if there are any codes that come up from cold weather. I thought perhaps it was a common problem. If you read my post i said Im stuck at work until tomorrow so i wont be able to have it scanned until tomorrow. I was just trying to see if i could get and idea before than.

You should be able to disconnect the battery and pull the ecm fuse and wait for about 5-10 min and then hook it all back up. The code should be gone but stored so you can scan it later but at least it will tell you if there really is something wrong or something stupid like the gas cap isn't fully tight.

I am having an issue with my 95 rs starting. When the key is in the ignition the CEL light pulses. Don't remember how many times. Then it goes solid, then flashes again.

This is a project car and has many deletes done. They must be tuned out but never have seen a CEL light flash.

I understand but generally, no, the cold won't throw a CEL.
