CEL question

Ok i want to remove most of my emission in my car just to lose the cluttered engine look. So im assuming my car will throw a code and my question is will having the code on make my car run bad or the CEL is just working as a notification that they are missing? thanks

The code it throws wont harm the engine, its just letting you know its missing. The one thing I advise is checking your codes so there's not more then just that being thrown

well right now i have no CEL but removing emissions can cause other problems?

i was simply questioning his post asking if it cause other problems since he told me to check if any other codes came up. But thanks for the reply

A proper emissions removal requires a bunch of stuff to be unplugged, the reason i was saying to check the CEL was to make sure that you didnt leave any of the other sensors unplugged after putting it all back together... But you wont have any issues with removing the emissions stuff, hell might get a couple more mpg out of it if your lucky
