Ok first off I did a search and didn't really come up with anything like my problem so here goes. I have a 1990 GSX that I purchased about 2 1/2 months ago and it ran fine then, maybe a little rich but would crank right up. It was completely stock except for the exhaust so I had to do some things to it. I went ahead and did the plugs, wires, oil, and coolant flush along with a new Mishimoto radiator. Also put on a Dejon intake with a K&N filter. Well in the process of doing all this I killed the battery by leaving the dash open. I hooked it up to my truck and let the battery charge for like an hour or so. I finished everything today and tried to crank it up but it wouldn't crank like it isn't getting fuel. If I hold the gas in with the clutch I can get it to crank and as long as I keep it revved up for a few minutes it will idle afterwards. So I'm letting it idle to hopefully charge the battery (which doesn't work) and the CEL comes on. All the fluids are at proper levels and all the sensors are hooked back up so I have no clue whats going on now. By the way I capped off the charcoal canister instead of rerouting into the new intake so the only thing it has is BOV recirculation. I'm getting a new battery tomorrow to mitigate that problem but could that possibly be causing a CEL? Also I know in my 2g I can here the fuel pump run when I turn the ignition to "On" but I don't hear anything in the 90. Fuel pump issue? I still have to hold my foot on the accelerator to get it to start. I'm sorry if I rambled it's been a very frustrating day. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
