I ran the codes and it came back as an O2 sensor. I replaced the O2 sensor and the light is still on and there isn't anymore codes. What could be wrong? Bad computer?

If you have a 2G you have two O2 sensors. Are you sure you replaced the correct one? Also you might need to hook your car up to a scanner to clear the code, or remove the positive terminal of the battery for a while.

When I replaced the sensor, I took it back and it said there were no codes but the light was still on. I also had the code cleared and I removed the positive terminal. The light has came back on both times.

The light won't turn on without there being a current DTC. If possible attempt to clear the CEL light, then restart the car, drive it until it comes back on and then rescan. Could you please provide whether you have a 2G or 1G to help troubleshoot further?

did you replace the right o2 sensors? could be your cat if you did the rear.

what are the codes your light is giving?

you changed the one in the rear after the cat there is also another one before the cat right at the firewall.

It's not giving any codes but the light is still on. That was my whole question. I've had it reset from a scanner and I also disconnected the terminals. The light goes off and when I restart the car, it goes back on.

what kind of scanner are you using to clear the codes?

what was the original code that made you change the o2 sensor?

I honestly don't know. I did it at Advanced Auto Parts. They scanned it, told me what had to be changed and I did it. When I went back to have the CEL cleared, it said would you like to do this? Blah blah blah there are 0 codes remaining. Then when I was driving, the light came back on.

If it came back on while driving then you didn't fix the problem, i know you said it shows no code but unless you own the scanner goto a different store and let them scan it.

I bet it was the front o2 sensor that needed changing and they sold you the rear or your cat is messed up.

They didn't sell me anything. I got the sensor from Rock Auto. What other stores can check the codes?

Alright thanks.

I had the codes ran at auto zone and the o2 sensor is the one by the fire wall. Im so mad that aap told me the wrong one. Where exactly is it located?

Auto Zone told me the right sensor. The other code was p0125. Coolant temp? Anybody know what this is?
