Hey Guys. My 2GNT is giving me CEL code 43. Its for ignition coil as stated at 2GNT.com here: 2GNT.com - PCM_Error_Codes

I got a brand new MSD ignition coil. I also got brand new spark plug wires and spark plugs. But no change. Any ideas as to why this CEL code wont go away?

If its of any help, as before, my car still doesn't start unless i press the gas, as described here (and the change in ignition coil didn't help this issue at all) : http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/420...tart-unless-i-press-gas-after-t-belt-job.html

Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate your input.

I appreciate the help guys. I dont have a scan tool and cannot get it to autozone. Thats why i just did the "key dance"

He doesn't have an ICS, he has an IAC. Please take note of the forum in which you're posting.

I'm sorry :ohdamn::cry:

I think you can rent them. I'd call them up and ask.

Hey guys. So i rented a scanner from autozone and it didn't fit, and rented another from oreiley's with more adapters for different connectors and it didn't fit either. You guys had this problem before?

I'm guessing mine is not a OBD II. (I have a 96 talon but made in 95). And the OBD I didnt fit either. The service manual uses Chrysler's DRB III scanner, but no one rents that one out. This I've seen sold online for $2k-$7K..

Either you're using the wrong plug, or someone cut off the correct plug. All 2G DSM's will communicate with an OBD-II scanner, even my '95 which was manufactured in 1994.

Thanks for the info guys. That's pretty weird. There is only one plug down there (below drivers side dash), so I'm thinking that's gotta be the one.

Anyway, since I switched the coil and the CEL stayed, I figured i would try a new pigtail connector. I Installed it and no difference. Same CEL 43 (coil)... And now i got a CEL 13 code (MAP sensor).... man, i think i might just have a mechanic come down.

Thanks guys

I swear I just posted on this the other day....Hmmm.

Code 43 can also be a missfire.
