Ok, so after I re-built my bottom-end of my engine after turbo I had used the MSD coil pack with my stock ignition wires. I asked a friend in town if anything catastrophic would happen. Well, I decided to just throw it all together and yea she started for a while, then she went dead on me. My friend told me that the stock wires would/could blow the coil itself, and possibly the wires along with the coil.

I was wanting to know if the MSD coil and wires could be blown?

I threw the DVOM at the wires and they seem to jump around in the numbers and what not. If they were not blown it would show a solid number and not jump, right? Also how would I go about testing the coil if it is blown or not? All I have is my DVOM on me.

Thanks in advance guys! :thumb: :dsm:

The MSD coil is an OE replacement - it outputs the same power as the factory unit, but it's red.

Ook, thanks for the info, guys. I have a screamin' Demon coil as well and just need the connector for it since my connection is a round pin and not a flat pin. Just tryin' to figure out why she isn't starting is all. I'm just gonna re-check over EVERYTHING again :|
