Hey just wondering if anyone on here has a car modified like mine and and has any experience with the MSD coil and 8.5mm wires. I just bought them and was wandering what advantages you all have had.
My mods are CAI, header, high flow cat (actually test pipe), and 2.5 cat back.
Anyone near that with experience I'd love to know what you thought of the ignition.
thanks

I have both the coil and the wires. I wouldn't say there's any advantage other than a good reliable product. The MSD coil is good to have though cause I've heard that the Chrysler ones are known to go bad after a while.

I have it and the only thing i really noticed from it was a little less power lag between shifts. I really didnt notice it too much until i changed my plugs out. Other than that its jut a good reliable product and kinda looks cool i guess.

well today i got my msd ignition coil and wires, decided to just throw em on with old plugs even though the plugs where junk i could actually tell a difference. i now have new plugs and replaced the pcv valve (burning oil) and i can actually tell a difference its idle is a lot smoother and it seems to carry through the gears a little better. i like the product just thought id finalize on the subject and tell my conclusions. :thumb:

i have the coil and wires. i noticed a difference in the. i really knew a bigger difference when i put the dis 2 box on.
