Hey guys, I bought a Msd Dis-2 Igniton box for my 2g 420a, and Im having a bit of a problem. HAs anyone installed this into their own car because Im having wire issues and I can get it mounted, I just dont know where some of the wires hook up to. Also, there are a lot of numbers on the side and I dont understand how to program this correctly, and i refuse to take it to the shop and spend money on something thats probably simple and that someone here is more educated on than I am :p . I didnt get a manual because I bought this second hand, so anyone that knows anything about this please feel free to help! :thumb: Im going to post pics of it to give you an idea of what my problem is. Thanks in advance!

I dont mean to spam, but i'm doing each part of my engine to the fullest, so Im going from exhaust, fuel/intake, brake system, suspension, some engine work (not yet done), and now my ignition. Im just trying to buy everything possible for each catagory of my car so I can have it all haha (since I dont know what all I need, I thought I would get everything possible for each)
So my question is, is there anything else in the 420a ignition department I need to do then? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it =)

I really just got the DIS-2 because it said somewhere that it was needed for nitrous applications, and I have a zex kit installed ? Im so confused!!!

Multi-Step Retard: Three separate stages of retard can be activated by either rpm or a separate activation wire. This is perfect for all nitrous applications. Programmable from 0°-15° in 0.1 degree increments within 800 - 15,000 rpm in 100 rpm steps.

directly from MSD's website.

This does not mean it is needed for nitrous application but meerly states that you can adjust timing with it with an activation wire that senses whatever trigger your nitrous system is set on (WOT or push button).

I am not knowlegable with DSMLink yet, but I believe you can do the same with it. Unless absolutely necessary, the DIS-2 is just another box on your car to create another failure point. If indeed DSMLink can do the same, that is adjust timing for nitrous application, then go that route :) I will soon be getting DSMLink and hopefully will be in a better position to provide answers about it.

haha Well I really appreciate your help! I guess I don't need it, so it will just sit in my room with the other parts I bought and didnt have a clue about until I found out that A. I didnt need them or B. I bought the wrong thing haha
Thanks again!!! =)
