Okay so I have been doing alot of reading/learning about ECU tunning.
I have Evoscan v2.6, ECUflash latest version, and I just got my openport 2.0 cable with reflash adapter.
I have been looking at the CeddyMods Version 1.81 Beta, and I am really intrested in the Launch Control: Standard 2-Step, AKA StutterBox.
So my question is how do i get this "option" to work on my 98 GST.
As far from I understand it, this is what I would do...
Download http://ceddy.us/wp-content/uploads/CeddyModV8b1.zip, follow the instructions for install.
Run ECU flash open, 20550011-mod-V8b1.hex file and change the vaule: bit 14, launch control to 1 for on.
Then flash it to my 98 GST???
What the procedure for flashing the ECU?
Now for the main question is: is the rest of the CeddyMods ROM stock?
As in I can just enable that one option and everything thing else is in its stock form?
Thanks for input

The rom is far from stock, many things have been "fix".

Things like Max AirFlow and IPW, the ecu will basically shut off and lean out near 50 lb/min, is fixed.

Fuel Cut and Speed Limit is removed.

Basically all the limits are removed, so the ecu can now handle 1500+ HP with the correct air meter.

If you are asking if one item is enabled "1", and the rest are disabled "0", will the disabled items be turned off and in "stock" form. Then yes.

The Launch Control has a top down hierarchy. If you want to enable AntiLag, the 2-Step must be enabled also, etc.

There is more info in the CeddyMods thread.

UM, holy cow.
I just checked my current ROM in my ECU and it looks like its not stock at all.
Is there anyway to upload the .hex file on here so yhall could take a look at it and see what you think?
Some of the vaules look completely off.

I have uploaded my current ECU ROM here: megaupload.com

Completely stock 20550011 rom.

Yes, the rom you uploaded is 100% stock.

The CeddyMods, Speed Density, and Big Maps are not in stock roms. It took me hundreds of hours of coding for me to add them.

Okay maybe im not understanding..
You say The CeddyMods, Speed Density, and Big Maps are not in stock roms, right?
But in my ROM i uploaded contains CeddyMods, Speed Density, and Big Maps?

The EcuFlash definition contains these, but they are not in the rom, thats why Big Maps looks "corrupted" and all the CeddyMods say FFFF or 1111 or something.

They are defined in EcuFlash(because its easier for me to make one definition, instead of many) but they are not in the rom. There is not a way to turn off unused maps in EcuFlash.

If I'm confusing you, simply use the correct version rom with the correct version EcuFlash and EvoScan .xml definitions. They are all in the CeddyModV8b1.zip you downloaded.

Okay cool, So let me make sure.
bit. 15, All mods Off set to 0 or 1 to enable, kinda confusing to me.
bit. 14, Launch Control set to 1
bit. 13 Launch Control Anti Lag (Ign Retard) What is recommended, on or off, and what vaule?
bit. 12 Launch Control Anti Lag )AFR Control) What is recommended, on or off, and what vaule?
Thanks again for your help for making me understand.

Alright, so i tried the Launch Control set at stock vaules and it works just like it says.
I think it is pretty neat that you can actually read and write parameters for the ECU.
I see I have much learning to do thats for sure.
Thank you Ceddy for all your help and for what you do.

You MUST have bit 15 set to "1" for any of the Ceddy Mods to work, and you only want to set bit 14 to "1" for the stutterbox launch. Antilag is only for guys trying to build boost with a really big turbo.
Then, make sure you drop down and change the stationary rev limit to whatever rpm you want to launch at. For a GST you should start with 3500 and see how it goes.

As you start playing with ECUflash you will begin to understand more. Just keep reading any and all post regarding it and watch the ECUFlash training video.
