Ok guys I deleted my high flow cat for my straight pipe and now ky car runs terriable. It's backfiring when I make 20 psi of boost which I normally build 23. Then my hp is very low. My estimates on dsmlink are around 120hp when before I did it I had them around 320. Finally all of my r fuel ratios are still around 12. They leaned out a little so I richened it up and it didn't help. My timing ioved around and that didn't do anything either

No I didn't do any other mods and I didn't put any other part on. I took off the part of the exhaust right after the cat then got a pipe and punched through it

Have you ever deleted a cat before? Dude you punch the insides of the cat out therefore removing all of the internals of it. The cat is now just a shell and there are no internals on it....

So you just gutted the cat then. Did you take all the material out afterwards??

This is not a "delete". Put a test pipe/straight pipe in and ditch the cat you ruined.

check for exhaust leaks. that would explain the lean af/r. 12:1 afr is pretty damn lean, out of my comfort zone, that's for sure.

Side note, don't you think 550cc injectors are a bit small for an HX35 at 20+ psi? what are you IDCs at?

sorry its an evo3 16g my holset is going on in a week and there is no difference between this and a test pipe......and i dont have an exhaust leak. back when i was tuning with my safc2 i pulled my cat off and i had to lean it out a bunch which is weird. but now i had to add fuel when i pulled it. i just checked my logs and i found something. when crusing around my timing is at 30 degreese but at wot it drops to zero or 1.1 i feel like i need to add a lot of timing am i right?

im running an aem uego wideband but im not logging it in dsmlink. ill try to post a log but i have no idea how im going to head outside and do a pull then il be back.

If your timing drops that low, you are getting knock. Probably due to the 12:1 af/r. 10.5:1, 10.8:1, 11.0:1 are good af/rs to shoot for. But we defiantly need logs to give you any real advice though.

ok how to i post a log. i csnt figure it out but i lowered the boost to 20 and richened it up. im running a 11.5 average afr but in the lower rpms its in the 10s. and knock isnt showing up in the high rpms. the only knock i have seen is .7 at 4k rpm and that was just for a second

and the highest i caught my injector duty is 78 percent and that was at 6500rpm

I'm not even going to try and decipher that. Post something using the written English language and I'll help if I can. ;)

sorry LOL, ADD.... but i dont know how to post a log up so if someone will tell me how to that would be great.
next, i rarely see knock and it is never over .7 degrees knock retard.
finally, my injector load isnt over 78 percent so i know its not some sort of fuel cut issue.

log your wideband. If your AFRatioEst is accurate, you should richen it up. Is there a reason why you pulled so much timing out?

Also, get us a nice idle log. make sure you log ISC position, CombinedFT, and AirflowPerRev

Ok ill try to Log that and my wideband allways says that the narrowband is wayyyy off and the wideband sensor is less than a month old.
I did richen it up on the top end and it did help so im going to add a bit more fuel. I thought I was seeing 10.5 afr but I glanced over and saw 11.5. Now I think it was 11.1 on the last pull so still to lean. Just supprising that my cat was restricting the engine this much.
Finally.... I got pulled over at the races tonight. I was doing 64 in a 45 and got out of it. I showed the cop my log and told him I was trying to fix the engine. After a half hour of sitting he came back to me and said get out of here tonight

And for the timing. I had it pulled that much because my car wouldn't pull unless it was like that.... I was making 300 hp before I deleted the cat andn that tune

not many people are going to help you when you street race on here. :nono:
ill take a look at ## log when i have my computer tho, do that idle log aswell and keep the racing at the track. and stop being lazy, its worth logging the wideband. says on your profile you have aem, do you have aem ems or dsmlink?

just looked at your log and im seriously worried about what you've been doing, i see you breaking something soon, please go watch the instructional videos on dsmlink website if u have dsmlink and try to take notes if u already have seen them, and your not logging a lot of cruicial info which they will tell u in like the 3rd video on there website.

E: OMG, please watch the tutorials again on there website asap, your adjusting your timing in the wrong place, go to the table to adjust it for now until you learn more.

I think he's running V2.5 since. I didn't see any V3 options available when I skimmed through his log, so he has to use the sliders.

Get us the idle log. That will tell us a lot. If your base idle tune is bad, you'll be chasing your ass trying to tune at WOT. Crap in = crap out.

Idle log should be at operating tem. No lights, No radio, and preferably no fans.

Also, do you have the ability to log boost?

I don't like to race really on the street. I just go there because its like one big car show and I'm the only one within30 miles with another talon. And yes I do have 2.5 because I sold the aem ems, I forgot to switch that over. And I'm not being lazy about logging the wideband. Everywhere I have read is that the aem uego doesn't like to work with dsmlink

this is my idle log.
