When start my car after its been sitting over night, it takes a couple turn overs to get it started. When it finally starts it spits a little bit then jumps up in idle, almost 2,000 Rpms and stays there for about 5 minutes and then starts to go back down untill it hits 700 rpms.. It runs good, like i can put full throttle and no cut or miss, when it warms up to about 190F and i accelerate hard it cuts out and almost puts you into the dash.
I have new spark plugs, and yes i did gap them and new wires. I recently put on a new head and turbo and its been doing this since rebuild, it even did it with the old head and turbo..

Well i did a compression test, its 150 150 150 152 all the way accross. I have bran new wires replaced for the second time. New Ngk's gapped to spec's. The only sensor thats not plugged in is the oil pressure sender. But thats not it. It has nothing to do with boost, because even if im not getting on it, and im just cruising down the road at 45 mph you can feel the car kinda miss, tapping the gas fixes this problem. But i did check every boost line and vacuum line, no leaks!

Sounds MAF related.

BTW: Almost kissing the steering wheel = Fuel cut. This is MAF overrun and the ECU will temporarily stop the fuel supply.

How much boost are you running? 1G/2G MAF? Aftermarket boost gauge?(If not get one!)

i turned it down to 8psi, i have an aftermarket boost gauge and it says 8psi when i get into it, Thats what i thought, MAS related... I got a new aftermarket one coming in and hope that it cures my issue! its a 1stgen MAS also.. and the one that's on there is also stock.

While you're still at it, just check if the honeycombs have been removed in the 1G MAF. I think now is the best time to upgrade to a 2g MAF :thumb:

I just went through what sounds to be the exact same thing, if your ignition is good and no boost leaks I would look into the ECU the CAPS leak on the inside and cause all kinds of weird things? You might remove the ECU and the four screws that hold it together look inside and see if you notice any leakage, also you might take the other 4 screws out and look for burnt spots on both sides of the board?

Yeah your ECU will smell like rotten seafood too if its leaking....:barf:

2G MAF FTW!

i have a new MAS commin in, so ill see if this helps, and YES all the honey combs are there, no one has messed with that.
