ok so im sure u all have guessed i am new to dsm motors i have a 95 gst my girl has owned the car for 2 years. she blew the motor up in it and it has been nothing but head ache since i had the motor done at a machine shop now i cannot get it to run properly it idles like crap spits and sputers when u hit the gas all the way up to about 2800 rpm once there it will thrw u back in the seat and take off i have checked the basics like compression and plugs i am familiar with chevy v8 engins so i have tried trouble shooting it as if it were an old big block but to no avail im ready to rip my hair out i need alot of help the other thing i have noticed is if i unhook the fuel presser it runs 90% better if i do the vacume elimination to it do u think it would help
 
well ive got a 1g but i had mine down for awhile while i had the motor built and what not. when we put it back in it ran like crap to and it back fired and what not it happened to be my ecu the caps leaked and did some damage. did you check yours? is your cel light on ?
 
no my cel light is not on if the ecm was bad i would think it would be on i also have a obd II scanner and everything looks normal to me but then again im not sure what normal should be on this car
 
well i think i figured it out i believe i had the o2 sensor plugged into the cruise control and vice versa so yes im a idiot but just to be sure could someone give me the collor of the 4 wires on the ot sensor plug to the ecu and the cruise contolr to the ecu ### my haynes manual doesnt tell me the colors
 
no i pulled the motor out and had a local machine shop bore it and go throuth the head i did all the work myself also i would like to know if when ding timing will the marks line up perfectly because i am like a 1/2 a toth off and i cannot get it to line up any closer and does it mater wether im a half tooth off on the top side or bottom side is one better then the other thanks
