Ok guys I deleted my high flow cat for my straight pipe and now ky car runs terriable. It's backfiring when I make 20 psi of boost which I normally build 23. Then my hp is very low. My estimates on dsmlink are around 120hp when before I did it I had them around 320. Finally all of my r fuel ratios are still around 12. They leaned out a little so I richened it up and it didn't help. My timing ioved around and that didn't do anything either

ok well ill try to hook it up but my grad party is sat so my parents will want me getting things ready all tomorrow. but what did you think of the idle log?

Yeah man that redneck cat delete is the problem. Get a test pipe, they are pretty cheap.

No it is not. There is nothing redneck about this .People have been hollowing out cats for many many years. If you are worried about turbulence (not an issue from what I've found) than you can put a straight pipe thru it. If you go this route than you can still pass a visual safety inspection.

Thanks because i don't know about other states but here in ny you have to go through a visual inspection and hook the car up to a computer. Now dsmlink takes care of the cel but you still need to have a cat on your car so the shell of the cat is how you pass. This car is my dd so it needs to pass inspection.

Your county just looks to see if the cat housing is there? Do you have emissions testing?

The only reason I implied the cat was the problem, was because it sounded like the broken chunks may have been lodged in the exhaust, causing a restriction.

If the cat was the only thing that changed about the equation, and it runs that much worse, then either it's clogged now, or it was partially clogged before, which was the only thing keeping the boost levels in check.

Thanks for the help guys. I figured out it was the timing. I finally got around to adjusting it and it actually runs ok now. It still studders because I only got about two pulls to tune it so its just a waiting game to get time. I'll post tomorrow because its my day off
