Okay so yesterday while i was relocating my battery yesterday and while i was running the wires i noticed that the carpet is completely soaked but only in the rear passenger floor. What the hell is going on? Has anybody else had this happen? I plan on replacing the carpet or painting it in the summer but would really like to find out what it could be.

+1 on heater core, you should be able to smell if it;s coolant too or tell if it sticky.

Rear passenger floor you say? Do you have a sunroof? If you do.. check that out for water leaks. Make sure the drains are not clogged and check for rust where the weatherstrip and glass meet.

i have a sunroof but wouldnt it leak everywhere if thats where the leak was coming from? Also for the rest of you that said heater core.... its definately water.... not coolant. and noto sticky. why would it only be on the passenger side?

This happens to mine on the driver side. I've cleaned the sunroof multiple times and it seems to like go away but comes back within a month. I dont know if its coming in from somewhere else or what, but water will sit on the floor behind my driver seat. It's not coolant but anyways if you find out what it is let us know! Mine's been happening since I bought my car last summer.

+1 Sun roof drain lines might have a leak in it......

The dun roof has 4 rubber hoses that drain out one to each corner of the car. So Im guessing the hose that runs from the back left corner is cracked and dry rotted and is leaking there. The hoses fun through the skeleton of the frame, Im not sure how difficult they are to replace good luck though. :thumb:

either that or your collecting water from the bottom of the car? i know im my gs-t same area gets wet, right behind the passenger seat, pretty sure it from not having floor plugs and running over some decent sized puddles because rarely (if i drive in heavy rain) ill notice an actual puddle of water in the car, other than that it's all dry.

thats where it has to be from... because my heat works perfectly fine. ill check this out tomorrow. hopefully its not too hard to replace.thanks for the tip.

When I had my car stripped..I remember seeing the lines. I had to replace mine in the hatch because it was clogged. I just used silicone vacuum line

After I cleaned my lines multiple times I thought maybe there was a hole in the floor, but my water sits in the back so if there was a hole I figured there wouldn’t be that much water. Idk once it warms up I’m tearing out my interior to clean carpet and see how solid my floor is... I’m extremely nervous.

Behind the pasenger (and driver) seats, under the carpet, there are cute little rubber "plugs" in the floor. Perhaps yours is disgustingly rotten? You'll have to basically tear out your interior either way, for the sunroof hose OR the plug, so you'll be able to check both at the same time. Lucky you :)

My gst never did it when i drove it daily. Once i began to part it out i noticed water on the passenger side in the front and rear on the floor. Driver side stayed dry. Mirror holes and holes i the fire wall were covered. Even coverd the car with a tarp and some how small amounts of water still got in. The only leak i actually saw was the passenger side window not to far from where the mirror mounts. Almost like the window was cracked but it was all the way up. i discovered that in a drive thru car wash.
