Carbotech pad user advice

I have gotten into open track days and saw the biggest issue on my first outing was the brakes. I went ahead and sprung for a set of Carbotech XP10 for the front. I purchased synthetic caliper grease with a range of -30 to 600. There are also no back plates on these pads. Will the caliper grease I purchased work? Do I need to ad back plates when using these pads?

Are you still on stock 2G brakes? They are going to be a huuuuuge hurdle to cross. Pads will help, but you're running even smaller rotors than GSXs and the car is too heavy for it.

I highly highly suggest looking into a Brembo upgrade if you want to continue down the open track route.

The car in question is a GSX. I have done the Outlander upgrade, SS lines, and ATE Super Blue brake fluid. I also have a dedicated set of rotors for the XP10 pads. My questions were more geared toward the pads themselves.

I found some caliper grease by Permatex that is rated for -65 to 3000 at Advanced Auto. I will move forward with that.
