I have a 1993 TSI with a recently dropped in cyclone motor. The car never started but cranks. Im using the stock harness and had to swap the connectors. Im using the JDM ECU and no the valves are not bent. I cant figure out what the problem is for the life of me. At tdc im getting 5 volts from the tdc output and zero volts a crank angle sensor. Is this correct?

I would say check your battery, battery cables, alternator, starter make sure they are all in working condition, and check your timing make sure its not off or anything like that.

Sounds like you are on the right path. Have you checked for spark? Is it trying to start at all, or just the never ending turn-over? Have you done a comp/leak down?

Im getting a compression tester its getting everything just not at the right time. I think its ignition timing but im not sure how to time it when its not running

it cranks but wont turn over
