car wont hold more then 5 pounds without breaking up

Hey ,
What's up guys I'm pretty new here n got my dsm about 9 months ago with no problems recently when I go WOT it breaks up beyond 5 pounds car has a k&n air filter greddy hard piping mbc set at 12 and straight piped ...can you guys think of any reason I'd be breakin up

Forgot to add also have mechanical boost guage

What are your plugs gapped at?

By break up I mean if I go past about 5 pounds n breaks up like it don't wanna keep goin but does. When I'm not at work I'm gonna try to see if I can find a boost leak I'm pretty sure there is one cause it also whistles loud when under load. My plugs I have no clue what their gapped at to be honest(I know I should know)

Do a boost leak test and put in some fresh NGK BPR6ES plugs since you have to go there anyway. If you don't know the last time the wires were changed, or they look pretty bad, it might be a good idea to just replace them. Good luck!

I have this issue every once in awhile and it just means to change my plugs. I would check them out. All of these tests are cheap so you should be able to single it out.

Do what everyone else is saying. Also check to see your filter has come off the pipe a little. I know it sounds stupid but once not too long after I had first bought mine it had just barely shifted and it disconnected from the bottem slightly. But the top was still resting on the pipe to an extent. Its pretty easy to look over it when scanning the engine bay. The car would "cut up" from it under boost.
