Car wont get into Gear Help!

Hey again guys.....like ive posted before, ive just recently gotten my car put together after having the bottom end completely redone, put in a aftermarket clutch etc.

Anyways, we started the car, and its works WHOHOO!!! but the damn thing will not go into gear while the car is on. I shut the car off and it goes into gear fine, i can hear it going in and out. Can't figure out what is making it do this. Transmission has never givin me any prob. so i figure i did something wrong whild putting back together.

I can put it in gear while the car is off and start it, and no noises or anything happen. But i cant change gears or anything when its in neutral and the car is on.

Any help would be much appreciated guys. Im sooooo close to driving it again, its just driving me crazy, im so close to being finished, and it just seems new prob. keep arising.

first thing id do is check the master cylinder for your clutch, look on the inside of your car where your clutch pedal is and check for fluid. after that check your fluid resevoir tank, and make sure its full, traces the clutch lines all the way down to your slave cylinder for any leaks. if you find any leaks thats prolly your problem. if there is no leaks the i dunno, maybe someone else will have an idea.

Did you have the flywheel stepped? If not, you need to have it done.
