Car Stopped Making Boost

Today I got code 0021 for temp. malfunction so I replaced the temp sensor and still got the code. I took a look at the wires and they were broke, so I fixed that. Got the code gone and went for a drive and the car would struggle to hit 3psi but ran fine. I pulled the intake to check the turbo compressor wheel and everthing was fine there and did a blt and everythings was ok there also. So I went for another drive and same thing was happening. I floored it a couple of times and then it started back making boost. I'm just wondering what could've caused that to happen?WTF

Your boost gauge may be malfunctioning check the lines. It may have read 3lbs on the gauge but as you stated the car still ran fine and blt was sound, seems like a gauge problem.

What I ment by the car ran fine was it wasn't hesitating or cutting off or anything like that. The boost gage is fine, I could tell the car wasn't making power.

Check Flex section in exhaust, they implode on the inside sometimes and cause back pressure. But on the outside it looks fine. I would check it.

Yea its fine now, just wondering what would've caused it. What causes the wg to stick(is a external tial 38mm)

Are you sure the DTC was for coolant temp sensor and not intake temp sensor? To my knowledge, P0021 is nowhere near a coolant temp sensor code...

Yea I'm pretty sure the cell was the coolant temp malfunction, because link lead me to that problem and sure enough the wires were broke on the plug for the sensor. It didn't have a p in link(1g) just 0021.

I couldn't really tell you. Thatd be like saying it misfired yesterday but it quit and never happened again.

just saying its really only thing besides the bov maybe sticking. If your car ran fine just didn't boost. I don't see the flex section caving then uncaving.

Wastegate might have gotten something that made it not seal closed so leaked the pressure by. Same with the bov. What I couldn't tell you though.
