I start it, it hits 1k rpm and then shuts down within 2 seconds. I was thinking it was my tune so I tried a base tune and it does the same thing.

My plugs go from clean to completely black covered (not oil) after only 5 attempted starts. There is little to no metal visible on the electrodes when this goes down on all of them.

History:

The car sat for almost 3 years after I got burnt out working on the pedal assembly. The tank was near empty.

I started it once a month or less.

I drove it fine to the gas station and put in a fresh tank of 93 Octane.

Now it acts like above.

I am able to get it to run (but not reliably) if I increase injector deadtime in my tune drastically e.g. like it is running 650 injectors not 1200 injectors...but that was an accidental discovery...just thought I'd mention it here for troubleshooting purposes.

TPS is at 10.1% where it should be.

Things I have tried:

1g MAF
alternate plugs
changed fuel filter
Swapped ECU(s) and Ostrich
Swapped coil
Swapped power transistor.
coolant temperature sensor reading correctly in MMCD when I CAN get it running.
Swapped CAS

Ideas?

Injectors might be clogged with crap, pull them out and look at the screens in them, look for orange rust, you might have a bunch of water in with the fuel, take a fuel sample in a glass jar and check, replace the coolant temp sensor anyway, its due at this age, try starting it with the coolant temp sensor and maf unplugged.
 
Coil...although why would all my plugs foul at once
Can't be too much help but the plugs fouling is due to being super rich.
FPR should be fine on a 190 if the fpr is functioning properly.

So the car sat for a while, you drove it fine to the gas station and now its being a beach. Did you change anything from the gas station trip?
 
Thanks guys. I'll try the injector tips out if it gets that far. I hate messing with my fuel rail. The RCI injectors aren't that snug and it was a real pain to get them to seat in the first place without falling out.

I agree that it's probably super rich. Might try to start without MAF and CTS. Does that rule those 2 sensors out?

Yeah, it just started up out of the blue as far as I can remember....I forget sometimes but really don't think I made any applicable changes.
 
Added to the list of things I have tried. Would like to wrap this up before fouling the plugs again.

Really reluctant to mess with injectors at this point due to it being super hard to get them to stay on the rail.

Any other ideas?
 
It was the injectors after all. Put in my trusty FIC 650s and life is good for now. The injector seals were in terrible shape after sitting on the rail for 15 months.

Could bad injector seals have caused this? Hoping so. I'd hate to think that these low mileage injectors could be wrecked!

Very likely, depending on the leak size. It would be no different than having a leak in an intercooler pipe. By the way you were describing the issues you had with those injectors sealing, I wouldn't be surprised if all 4 were leaking causing an influx of un-metered air.
