car shakes while driving

2 days ago i broke the boots of my half shafts causing them to fall apart.. broke down tow and then get home and i replace them with the spare ones that i had from the car originally....

my car is a 94 gs with a 6 bolt 4g63t swap.. i swapped the axles out..

but now once i replaced them when i drive my car shakes really bad.. if im at idle coasting then it dont shake or anything.. sometimes it dont when its coasting in gear either...

idk what i should check for.. the axles looked good and everything else looks good...

help please

They might be out of balance. Were the new or used axles?

check over all your bolts you took off.Check too make sure all the lug nuts are tight

First of all. I would check and make sure everything is tight. Pay attention and see if anything else broke. If that checks out. I would start looking at your axles; could be a problem with those.

if there is not enough grease in the outer boot on the half shaft would it shake the car that bad??

or motor mounts... i know mine are really worn and i expect a lil jerk if i crack the throttle but it shouldnt if im just cruizing or creepin up a lil should it?

ok.. i replaced my halfshafts with NEW ones and drove good except the jerkiness from worn motor mounts....
but later on in the day i was driving and my axle broke again...

would the motor mounts be the problem with my axles? why it keeps breaking?

could be, i've had friends with solid mounts and they would have to replace their axles almost every month. i assume worn mounts would produce a problem as well.

well i dont think i should have to replace them from normal wear.... like power because my car has only basic minor mods and not much above stock power.. shouldnt rip halfshafts apart... i did it to 5 within a week... one of those were brand new.. i got 20-30 miles on it then broken down again...

gotta love the dsm's...

i have prothane motor mount inserts on the way, hopefully that makes it so i dont break more halfshafts..
