Car running bad at idle and low rpms no boost leak?

I recently replaced my turbo on my 98 eclipse gst I had bought the car with a bad turbo and only drove it once before buying and taking it home and taking it apart. I got it running but it is running super rich and really bad at idle. Is idles at about 800 rpms but sometimes idles at 1000 randomly but usually at around 800. It doesn’t constantly go from 1000 down to 800 and back so I’m pretty sure it’s not the tps? I ordered a new cone filter for my intake and an idle air control valve hoping that it will fix it but I want other opinions on what’s wrong I already checked for boost leaks and there was one but I fixed it and it runs the same. I’m a noob at this as well so plz be understanding

Oh and it sometimes gets to about 2200 rpms and doesn’t want to go any higher than that idk if that has to do with this but I thought I’d add it since it runs bad at low rpms and idle.

Dawson159 there is nothing on your intake you can recirculate to. Not the hole with a bolt, no spot at all.. you'll have to replace your intake with one like Chrysler kid shared a picture of with that little tube. If you'e not looking to spend a other 250-300 for the pipe then you can reinstall a factory one for 30ish and keep the filter or you can do some handywork and cut a hole where to normal recirc tube would attach And epoxy one in. But again, there is nothing on your intake you can recirculate to right now.

It sounds like he has a rubber expansion plug in there blocking the hole.

I don' think so cause the picture he posted of his BoV has the intake in it and there's nothing there where the tube would go. Unless it was just for referece.. though he did say he had an Apexi and the pic clearly shows Injen. if you look at what his hand is holding in the pic there's one of the vacuum ports with a cap on it then the other, in his hand with the BoV, that's literally a vacuum line with a bolt in the end and a clamp on it.

Its not a type S blow off valve btw, he has a fake type Rs which needs an insert to recirculate

I'm having a similar issue with my DSM but its more towards the MAF, Starts up runs extremely rough then dies... If i unplug the MAF and run off the MAP she purrs nicely but wont rev past 2500RPM....Have a weird whistle after i let off the throttle as well....I hope your issue is a easy fix so i can learn off that to maybe have a solid starting point.

Might be worth making a post if you can't find anything after a thorough search. Easiest thing to try first is cleaning your MAF or trying a known good one to rule yours out as bad. It is typical that with the MAF unplugged it'll run up to 2500-3000 rpms. If not your MAF, then it could be a number of things. Injectors, fuel pump, vacuum lines or leaks, bad sensors, ECU, etc.. Any check engine lights?

Yup check engine light but i haven't pulled codes yet. Doing so more diag this weekend so i can get this thing on the road.
