I've searched the forums and nothing exactly like this. I was riding along, downshifted to go into a local shopping center center and my car died, there was a slight burning smell like wire insulation, I had smelled this before but the car didn't stop running. I've since changed the crank angle sensor and being I have a 2G '95 Eclipse turbo I got a chance ot do a timing belt job, before hand all the marks were lined up.
I've pulled the ECU took it apart smelled it, inspected it and it's fine, no smell and no gooey stuff, got a pin out and checked the voltage points and the only power to my ECU is the back-up power for memory (pin 80) always on, pins 12 & 25 have no power and for lack of power my ECU is dead, I've checked fuses under dash and under hood can't find the problem...Help!
