Car Only Hitting NLTS Rev Setting Help!!!

Need help troubleshooting my nlts. I have 1g(93) with v3 and a straight wire ran from pin 104 of my ecu to the green/black wire on the clutch switch and the rev limit is hitting nlts setting. I can crank the car up with and without the clutch switch hooked up so I think that's where my problem is. Why would the car start with the clutch switch hooked up without me pressing the clutch in? Seems like if the switch is bad then the car wouldn't start correct? I know that unhooked is the way you can get away with starting the car without the pedal, but why is it starting with it hooked up?

I'm not sure on a 1g but on a 2g there are two clutch switches. One for the starter and one for the cruise control. You might have your nlts wire hooked up to the wrong switch

This is exactly correct. That switch only functions for the Cruise Stop. Change the switch out with a good one.
