Hello im a new menber on th forum.
I buy a 95 completely stock gst and cause it has a blown turbo i decide to make the upgrade to the 20g

we install a 20g on the stock manifold, and punishment racing short route fmic, hks blow off, 3 inch downpipe complete 3 inch complete exhaust and a walbro fuel pump.

I dont know if probably the car will need some tuning but i feel like the car is not performing wheel for the mods you dont feel the kick of the turbo on and after 2nd gear feels very lazy...

Please let me know what you think, i think ill maybe have to tuned for the amount of things modded...

Car is running 10 psi

Which 20g is it. I have the HRC 20g right now, and am only running the internal wastegate and a manual boost controller..unfortunately it is pushing itself open above 17psi. I can spike to almost 25psi, but it drops right back off to 17. I am getting estimates of slightly under 290ish hp. I havent had any issues with the motor or head gasket and I beat the snot out of it. I wasnt absolutely impressed with the power tho. I am told the HRC 20g is a bit laggy but should make a bit more power then a regular 20g. You are just fwd i think tho so it might be almost perfect.

We are running the 20g internally wastegated from hahn racecraft as well, we topped at 18 psi sometimes at night when cold spikes a litle but not much, we are controlling boost with a blitz dual sbc-r and no probles with it so far....

Yes its a bit laggy but its ok.

I laughed at this thread. My stock turbo blew so I upgraded to a 20g. n00b. start off with a 14b or 16g my friend.

there is no problem if you want to laugh, but saved for yourself.
If you are not going to post something that helps there is no need to post.
And of course i assume that im a noob cause i have to post on a newbie forum like any other new member
the reason what i post here is because usually people helps and share opinion, im a memberof rx7club.com since 2004 and supra forums since 2006 and always there is the guy that says....
Ohhh im laughing in my home cause this guy runs a gt42rs and a half-bridge port and is his first 13b built. Jaja i have a stock twins cause i cannot affort it but you are a noob....

Im building a daily driver gst i have never had much experience with 4g63 if i blew my stock turbo and put it a 20g is because i dont want to make a double expense in the future for another turbo.

By the way... I dont know why you are posting in the newbie section, this is a section for helping people not to laugh

haha gata love how we all can be so friendly LOL

in that case i have an e316g fully ported with SS o2 housing LOL:p if you want to trade i would be open ears LOL.

in any case the three turbos we want to trade you are all excellent turbos for the mods you got and especially for a beginner dsmer.:thumb: *cough* but mines better *cough* hahaha

yeah you definitely need to check on that fuel pressure and increase the boost but in order to do so youll need bigger injectors and if you plan on making any real power with that 20g then dsm link is thee choice for anything bigger than 560cc
anything smaller and you can go with a piggy back system.:thumb:

i thought Link was a piggy back. a kick ass piggy back but still a piggy back. the AEM should be an upgrade depending on what system.

and congrats on gettin the car running better. around 20psi should be a blast.

hello guys thanks for the commets once again.

yes i think i should not pass the 20 psi range with the stock block..

i will see if santa can bring a new forged strong block for new year...

I have been emailing back and forth with a tuner named Shane from DB PERFORMANCE near minneapolis and he tunes buschur's car.

He told me straight out not to bother with aem as the ecmlink can do just as much and have better driveability. People hit 800hp on ecmlink so i dont think its a huge upgrade to go to a full standalone. Not to mention the graphs that dsmlink shows are easier to work with then just a bunch of numbers like aem.

Lol 20g turbos are'nt laggy. I guess you read that on your local Honda forum. I see 22lbs around 3,500rpm. Run your AEM system, they are great if you know how to use them. Just make your tune spot on with your stock block. Not too much room for error.

It's not a laggy turbo but compared to the power output, its a bit laggy.
A big 16g spools a lot faster and can make almost the same power.

The HRC has a 10cm housing so it is a little laggier then a regular 20g, but is SUPPOSED to be good for about 450hp rather then 400 out of a standard 20g but thats just what they advertise.

B16g flows 505 cfm vs the 20g that flows 650cfm:hmm:

the big advantage of Link is the price. and the support you get from theirs site is un-matched. and its simple for regular joe shmo to pick up play with and tune with. their are things you can do with the other systems but you almost need a proffessional standin right beside you to get dead on. Link is by far the best bang for your buck. i dont know if any other platform offers a tool this valuable.

I really do not have much experience with the LINK i have heard plenty of good things, and maybe you can save some cash compared to the aem, im particularly familiar with the aem i have it in my fd rx7 prior to go with microtech, in the mkiv supra and know in my dam.

just go with the option your tuner is more familiar with....

Hello just pdating... I will start the motor assembly with all the internal components and see if we can install the full race manifold with the new gtx30 unit. Will update with pics as soon as i can

Your dumb :ohdamn: A 20g pulls ALOT harder than a 16g, when i had mine i was seeing 22psi at 3500 rpms.
