Car running crappy after BOV install

So I just received my NGR Type-S and installed it yesterday.

I also recirculated it(as best as I could provided the terrible positioning of my piping)

The car feels like it bogs / has bad turbo lag and such whenever I get on it.
I then recirculated it and it definitely ran a bit better but still is running funny.

Now for the BOV itself.

It vents fine and has the normal sound when driving around up to about 6psi.

However any more boost than around 6psi and it doesn't sound like it vents at all. You can hear a bit of air, and at full boost(being 16psi for me) it sounds like compressor surge.

I've messed with the pressure adjusting screw, vented it to atmosphere, doesn't change anything. It's all brand new - I don't get it?

I really need to get this figured out fast, I'm supposed to get the car tuned Tuesday for the track Saturday and at the moment its not lookin to good!

maybe need to mess with the screw a littlwe more. those type of BOVs can be tricky at times..

spray some soapy water around the BOV and see if you have any leaks i had the same problem and my bov was leaking at the seal

I sure hope not, everything is brand new - hope its not leaking...

Sounds like either a boost leak, or the BOV needs to be adjusted.

My brand new Greddy RS was leaking out of the box with a bad diaghphragm. Do a boost leak test to make sure you have a good seal (leak test should be done anytime air line components are messed with) and that the diaghphragmm isn't bad. After that, you'll need to adjust it properly which will take some time driving around and constantly popping the hood.

+1 on adjusting the screw for the BOV. It sounds like it's set a little too soft.

perform a boost leak test, check the screw on top of BOV.

Were you having issues before or why did you get a different BOV? Stock 1G BOVs are awesome; they're probably better than most aftermarket ones.

Is your recirc hose almost totally kinked? It looks like a major restriction; BOVs let out a lot of air.
