Car has no power after rebuild???

I have put at least 100 miles on my talon since it rebuilt it. While i rebuilt it i did the fuel filter, rod bearing, wiseco pistons, cosmetic head gasket, and arp head studs. two days ago i was driving to work and it ran perfect... when i started it up after work it was horrible. I drove away and had to PIN it to get going . I reved it up in nuetral and took like 6 seconds to get there, WTF. New spark plugs today and still runs the same. Is it unusual to have the dipstick to come out a little while reving it? it also shows 43 counts of knock at like 20% throttle up to 100%. My car boosts to 7 psi but still take like 30 seconds to get to 60
 
yea that sounds horrible, what all was involved in the rebuild and I would say check the timing first, check for exhaust obstructions like a bend in the pipe under the car, check to see if its even holding oil pressure, and check your compression.
 
alright took cat off, timed it so its 8-10 degrees, and runs better but still slow. Oil pressure it in between the two lines. I think i have a boost leak. Would that take low end power away?
 
check your knock sensor for goo, but that should retard your timing enough to make it run as bad as you describe. A boost leak can definitly cause bogging and throttle hesitation, it's def worth a shot considering how easy it is to do. Did you check your timing marks on the cam gears before you did the timing light? If it skipped a tooth or two it may run like you are describing.
 
no the cams are perfect. Oh ya my knock sensor is going wack too. at like 20% or more throttle it shoots all the way up to 43 countof knock and doenst go away until i let the gas off. It doesnt matter what gear what RPM, but just over 20% throttle? Could that be causing me to be loosong like 50 Hp or so
