Car hard to start and dies right away.HELP?

i have a 1993 eagle talon tsi awd and i bought the car off a guy 3 days ago and i just put new bearings in and oil and it also has no exhaust just the elbow that comes off the turbo manifold and i try to start it and is hard to start and if i dont keep my foot on the gas it dies. on the throttle body there are 4 like vacuum lines that are plugged up and dont know where they go and if this is my problem. the car ran rough but stayed on when i first got it the first 2 times i started it and now it wont idle. i dont know what the problem is. please help

Make sure the timing is set correctly and you have no vacuum leaks. Also, is your maf plugged in?

i was thinking about the timing and yes it is connected

and i was trying to find all of the vacuum lines but they all seem connected

I'm leaning towards timing as well. A leak that bad would be noticeable.

ok. well also when i gas it it dosent raise the rpms so i dont know if this means i need a new throttle body. i have a spare intake with a throttle body on it so if i change this will this help or forsure a timing

How did the car run before you changed the Bearings ect?Check timing marks and post back.

i will see if its timed right tomarrow and will let you guys know how it goes.

so if the vacuum lines off of the throttle body are tubed together from one to the one next to it it will be ok

yes itll be fine all he did was emmisions delete that is why its like that and also it may not be the timing but possible check TPS too it could be something simple these cars are funny sometimes

Throttle position sensor. I'd say, unplug your Maf and see if the car idles. If so you know your problem.. takes a second

ok i got it to stay running and now if i gas it it dies . i removed the hose from the throttle body to the intercooler. i think its clogged. an i talked to my mechanic and he said the mass air flow sensor

where is the maf

i fouun the maf its the plastic thing in my cone filter. i unplugged it and it still dies

well i found the problem. my turbo shaft broke in half so i took off the turbo and i started the car and gased it and it reved up. so that was my problem. so thanks for all the help guys
