Please help!! So I was driving my car last night and it was perfectly fine. I parked it outside and came back about an hour later to go home and it didn't start!! It was cranking fine, but there just wasn't any spark. I thought it was an easy fix..replace the spark plugs, ok did that and same thing..so I thought it was the plug wires, but I wasn't sure because they were hot after I cranked it a couple times..(meaning that there was spark sending to the plug, right?) So, I have no idea what is wrong with it, I hope it's nothing mechanical because that would be a biotch to pay for. HELP!!! Oh yea, and for the previous week, my start ups have been a little off..it starts then a slightly rough idle, car shakes a little bit not too bad, and then it smooths out..and is fine, i thought it was nothing at first, but apparently it was my mistake for ignoring it. =(

So I took the car out earlier and coming out from 1st transitioning into 2nd the car stalled and just died. Car didn't start and I had to push the damn thing home. It just feels like there's no spark reaching the cylinders and no ignition. it's kindof scary. sooooo yeaaaa, any ideas?

make sure your battery terminals are tight haha. Mine came loose and I didnt notice its one of thoes things you look over. But also replace the coil pack if that does not work like they said.

are you assuming that there is no spark or did you test and no that there is for sur no spark? no spark check .... coil pack.... ecu..... crank and cam angle sensors

Pull spark plug from head. Connect plug wire back to spark plug. Have "friend" hold spark plug. Crank engine. If your friend comes and hits you in the face, you have spark. If you don't want to ruin a friendship, a spark plug tester shold be available at your auto parts store. If you don't have a Multi-meter or a test light invest in one. Than you can check your resistance of your plug wires, voltage available at the aforementioned sensors, and continuity. After all these tests are ran, let us know. It might not be the coil pack. You could just have a faulty sensor, connector, wire...get the idea. Don't go and waste money on a part that doesn't need replacing. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Check everything, than check it again. Go to sleep, get up and check it all one more time. Good luck.

I stole this from another post but if you wanted to test your coil pack you cant try this. I believe it was for a 1G but I think the values are the same. But you should be able to find out at least.

guys where giving him all this information about what to do when you are not getting spark and we dont even know if he actually checked and made sure that was the problum or if he just thinks becasue it wont start it must not have spark

Figured out the problem. a friend of mine told me it was my MAFs. I want to know if this is true because the car ran fine when i switched out my plugs, it would start once and a while, but now it's grounded..i'm leaving it alone until i do more research. so, it sounds like I just have an electrical problem.
