Hello,
i have searched and haven't found what i have wanted. Can you take the water-oil cooler off? i really want to take it off it is leaking and causing the oil to out out of it too(no the oil is not mixing with the coolant-thank god). My question is can i just take it off all the way? put a hose that deletes the water cooler? i need to do something if i can't take it off i will just put a front facing filter housing instead, so either way i am removing it. I have my built 6 bolt ready to drop in, it has a front facing filter housing. I didn't even know they made one for a 7 bolt till i looked on jnztuning. I am kind of worried though that the oil will get too hot no having anything cooling it? I dont want to really mess with a oil cooler or a 90 housing. I dont see how i would really need it. There are people with big V8 making BIG power, that dont have a oil cooler and they do just fine. I will have a oil temp gauge to see if it gets too hot anyway. I am concerned though with the front facing filter housing that it wont let the LICP clear. Right now the pipe hits the oil cooler, only thing i can think of is that the oil filter will be underneath the alternator and on top of the pipe? Anyone have any expeirences with these on 2g?
