Can I feed the Oil filter housing with the water pipe?

Just wondering , since I've upgrade to a 50 trim , the stock line going from the Oil filter housing to the thermostat was hitting the turbo , so I got rid of it.

Tried to put a rubber line but their in not enought room in the back of the turbo.

So my question is , can I feed the filter housing with my old fittins on the water pipe(Old turbo feed line)???

Will it work or the housing has to abselutely be fed from the thermostat housing?

I know what your talking about, however I ran a rubber hose line like you are saying and I didn't have any trouble w/ my 50 trim. Here is a pic of the setup.
